Section 504 means equal access and levels the playing field for eligible students. If a child cannot learn in the way we teach we must teach in the a way the child can learn. It is important to place high value on the role of 504 coordinators who have the responsibilities of guiding and facilitating committee meetings to develop and implement individual accommodation plans for eligible students.
